ChemStore Manager™ (CSM™)is a universal classification and storage management system for chemicals based on their physical and chemical properties and their incompatibilities.

CSM™ assigns a letter or a combination of letters (A, B, C, D, E, F, I, R, S and X), to each of the 8000 substances in the database:

• Each letter corresponds to a chemical family: Acid, alkali, explosive, oxidizing material, etc.
  
  
• Substances belonging to the same family are compatible and may be stored together, but
  
  
• The majority of families are incompatible with one another and must be stored separately.

With CHEMSTORE MANAGER™, only compatible materials are stored together. Incompatible substances are stored separately to prevent dangerous reactions.

Based on this classification, CSM™ also allocates an appropriate storage mode (shelf, cabinet, armoured cabinet, refrigerator, etc.) to each substance.
